Presentation of New Destination Maremma (Toscana)

Embassy of Italy in Vilnius, Lithuania, hosted the presentation and networking event "A Journey through the Maremma." The initiative marked the official launch of the new direct charter service connecting Vilnius Airport (VNO) with Grosseto Airport (GRS). The route is the result of a two-year strategic agreement signed with Grosseto Airport, aimed at strengthening tourism flows during the 2026 and 2027 seasons.The mission to Vilnius is led by Toscana Promozione Turistica and representatives from the Province of Grosseto, SEAM S.p.A., the company managing Grosseto Airport. The Baltic States represent fast-growing source markets, characterized by increasing spending power and a steadily rising interest in Italy and Tuscany. "The launch of the direct connection between Vilnius and Grosseto," commented Leonardo Marras, Regional Councillor for Economy, Tourism and Agriculture, "represents an important achievement for Tuscany's tourism internationalisation strategy and, in particular, for promoting the Maremma region. We are investing decisively in opening up new markets that demonstrate growing interest in Tuscany and significant spending potential. The Baltic States fit perfectly within this strategy.
